Went to Foodie Bar at ON Dining Kitchen to celebrate the last evening of 2014.
Cocktails by Giancarlo Mancino, food by chef Philippe Orrico and fromagier, Jeremy Evrard.
Thanks to Kit Aw for his friendly and professional service, we had the best of time there. I have never seen a waiter taking such great care in taking photos for the customers. When he took our picture, he whipped out his own iPhone and use it as flashlight to make sure we have a perfect picture.
Love the covered terrace, with Midlevel in the far distance and LKF right below. Bartender Giancarlo Mancino (from Otto e Mezzo) created beautiful cocktails with artisanal and specialty producers.
Love this cocktail. Look at this golden cup, specially made just for this cocktail. P ordered this.
My usual G&T comes with Lavender, air-flown from Holland. This is Elephant Gin and East Imperial tonic from New Zealand.
The second G&T is Williams Gin, served with paper thin slice of apple crisp.
The food was excellent, the parma ham pork sliders, French mussels and the cheese platter, all recommended by Oliver, the top finefoods importer in HK who happened to sit at the next table.
The best cheese platter in HK definitely. My favourites were the runny goats’-milk cheese made by monks in the southwest of France and the four-year aged Comté.
Foodie Bar is my new favourite in Hong Kong.
