Every year, I look forward to the mid autumn festival, eagerly waiting to spot the full moon appearing on the eastern sky. Moonrise is normally around 6 or 7pm at this time of the year.
Sunset before moon rise
On our way to a dinner appointment, we stopped by at Jialulan Park, awaiting the moonrise at 6.18pm. Too bad that there is a thick layer of clouds on the horizon, so no moon on the horizon shot this year. The picture on the right, taken by Ping, while not the best light, but I love it. As we were leaving, I turned back for one last look, and there it was, the shot of the day.
The moon is bright, the evening breeze is cool, perfect for sleeping under the moonlight. Our deck is perfect for such an occasion. No tent no mosquito net, just a blanket.
Good morning, Dulan Mountain. This is the first time we sleep on the roof, and maybe we should do this more often in the summer months, sleeping under the Milky Way.This short period right after sunrise is the most special moment, when the first ray of the day shines on the mountain, turning it golden for a brief moment.
