April Yao 饒慶鈴 swore in today as the 18th magistrate of Taitung 台東縣長。Really happy for her to have won a definitive mandate from the people here. 
Ex-president Ma campaigned for her and came to attend her inauguration. He was friendly and accommodating with requests for photos. I got mine. The closest I would ever get presidential.

Justin Huang has been the magistrate of Taitung ever since we moved here nine years ago. Justin has done an amazing job in turning around Taitung, economically, socially and most importantly quality of life.
Now we look forward to a new era under April as the magistrate.
